The Ithaca Ballet, founded in 1961, is Upstate New York's only repertory company and the resident ballet company at the State Theatre. The ballet is a pre-professional ensemble corps, having a varied repertoire of classical and contemporary works.

For the third production of our 2011-2012 performance
season, the Ithaca Ballet is proud to present the full-length ballet Swan Lake, to be danced on our “home
stage” at the State Theatre. This ballet is considered the most popular and
technically demanding of the classical ballets. Unfolding over four acts, Swan
Lake is set to the music of Tchaikovsky and covers the full range of human
emotions.
